Tea Menu
*The menu below is an example and is subject to change without notice.

Tea #1
Sencha - Shizu 7132
Location: Shimizu, Shizuoka Taste Profile: Cherry Blossom, Sugari Nectar, Clean Finish
A single-origin sencha from Shizuoka, Shizu 7132 is known for its pronounced cherry blossom aroma and natural sweetness. Smooth and layered, it finishes crisp and refreshing, highlighting the distinctive character of sencha.

Tea #2
Gyokuro - Kiwamecha
Location: Uji, Kyoto Taste Profile: Bold Umami, Sweet, Fruity
Kiwamecha is produced using the traditional Honzu method, in which tea plants are shaded with rice straw mats rather than conventional synthetic nets. This labor-intensive process enhances the tea’s umami and aroma while reducing bitterness. This gyokuro is carefully hand-picked and made exclusively from the Ujihikari cultivar.

Tea #3
Matcha - Hika
Location: Mikawa, Aichi Taste Profile: Seaweed, Milk Chocolate, Roasted Almond
Made from tea leaves grown in Mikawa, Aichi, this matcha is processed in traditional local tencha kilns and roasted slightly more deeply to develop “hika,” a rich, nutty roasted aroma.

Tea #4
Asamiya Genmaicha
Location: Asamiya, Shiga Taste Profile: Puffed Rice, Gentle Sweetness, Roasted Grain
This premium genmaicha combines first-flush sencha with roasted brown rice, balancing fresh tea notes with a warm, toasty character. Smooth and easy to drink, it finishes clean with a gentle sweetness.

Tea #5
Ujichashi Hojicha

Location: Uji, Kyoto Taste Profile: Rich, Toasted Hazelnut, Sugary Aroma
A welcoming introduction to roasted green tea, this hojicha offers rich, toasted notes and a sweet aroma reminiscent of traditional Kyoto tea houses.

This tasting will last approximately 90 minutes and will take place in the Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles.
