Japanese Tea Glass

This handblown tea glass and wooden coaster set was designed specifically with high quality tea in mind. This glass is particularly suited to holding cold tea. The wooden coaster is coated in urushi lacquer, the key component of which is derived from the sap of the Japanese lacquer tree and is commonly used in East Asian lacquerware for its durability.

Established in 1922, this glassware company initially manufactured glass housing for light bulbs before transitioning to producing glassware. Their thin, handblown glassware strikes a balance between delicacy and durability.
