Insect Repellent Incense Coil

Keep mosquitoes and bugs away the natural way, without spraying anything onto your skin. This additive-free incense coil smolders slowly at a porch, an open window, or the campsite, filling the air with the soft, plant-like scent of dried flowers while it works. Burning a coil through a summer evening is a familiar ritual across many Asian countries, and one coil burns for about six hours, long enough to see you through a night outside.

It's made from pyrethrum (除虫菊), the chrysanthemum long used as a botanical insect repellent, blended with Hokkaido-grown Japanese mint. Nothing synthetic is added, no pyrethroid insecticides, dyes, or colorants, so the coil is simply the natural color of the plants it's made from. That tone can shift slightly from batch to batch with each harvest, a sign of how little stands between the flower and the finished coil.

Each box includes 30 coils and a metal stand. The coil also rests neatly in our cast iron incense dish, which catches the ash and adds a sculptural touch to a porch or table.
