Dustpan

This black metal dustpan's shovel design is suited to collecting debris such as crumbs, gravel, and ash from the fireplace effectively. It is manufactured by Iris Hantverk in Sweden following traditional techniques developed almost 200 years ago.

Iris Hantverk is a manufacturing company with roots in Sweden's visual impairment movement. In the late 19th century a group of visually-impaired craftsmen from across the country came together to establish a brush-making collective called De Blindas Förening (The Blind Association). The group was originally formed to provide equal opportunities to earn a living for the blind and partially sighted, as well as developing specialized brush making techniques. Iris Hantverk continues this social enterprise today, as well as the tradition of crafting brushes by hand using natural and environmentally sustainable materials.
