Tin Box – Copper

These tin boxes are handmade using traditional techniques in Tokyo, Japan. These raw materials, often used in Japanese architecture, such as Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples, are very hard, making them difficult to convert to cans. Making them thinner would compromise their durability. It is made by tucking, not soldering, so users could enjoy the natural feel of the material. No rust proofing is done so that the boxes age gracefully over time. Brass and Copper will oxidize over time with touch and wear. The colors will also soften over time, and you will become more attached to it the more you use it.
