This seven key wooden marimba, with a frame made of Swedish Birch and keys of Acacia wood, is tuned to a pentatonic scale. This assists the player in creating an improvised melody without any "wrong" notes, always sounding good.
Founded in Järna, Sweden in 1978 by a carpenter and musician, the manufacturer of this instrument started with making a lyre, a 41-stringed instrument, which was commissioned by a music therapist. The encouraging results lead to continuous collaborated projects. In cooperation with other musical professionals, the company continues its studies to deepen the knowledge in instrument building techniques.
