Alfred Neweczerzal, the inventor of the original vegetable peeler, developed and produced various kitchen appliances, such as mayonnaise and cream whippers, as well as toys under his basement at home. The REX vegetable peeler is an iconic Swiss design and the very first vegetable peeler that was patented in 1947. Registered under International Model Protection No. 11002, the same number which still identifies it today. The handle is made completely out of one piece of aluminum. Rust may occur on blade if not dried properly.
