This juicer is composed of Amakusa porcelain sourced in Nagasaki, Japan and produced in Shiratake Kama, where traditional Hasami-yaki ceramics are made. They are handmade by expert craftsmen, and due to the delicate and time consuming production process, only 300 a month can be made. The elegant, yet functional, design of the juicer means that there is no need to use excessive force when squeezing fruit. The lid locks down so that it can easily be used to produce clean, fresh juice. The bottom compartment holds one cup of fresh juice and can be detached, to use as a server. It can also be used to quickly make salad dressing, squeezing a lemon or lime over the other ingredients in the bottom compartment, and then bringing it to the dining table.
