These Spanish knives have been made in Solsona in Northern Spain for three generations. The family owned company opened in 1917 and the finesse of their knives reflect over 100 years of craftsmanship. Once a centre of knife production, the company is now the last in Solsona making them in the traditional way.
Item details: This is right-handed sashimi-style knife, where only one side of the blade is ground down, and the other is flat. This creates an overall sharper edge, and the flat side stops the blade sticking while you slice. The blade is made from carbon steel, with a boxwood handle and a band of darker colored wood around the base give an elegant additional detail. The heavy, fine grained wood is durable and gives the knife a balanced weight.
Measurements: Length: 14.75", 9" Blade.
Care Instructions: These knives are not dishwasher safe. We recommend hand washing with mild dish soap, using on a soft sponge. Dry the knife and handle thoroughly after every use. The knife should be cleaned immediately after handling high-acidity items like citrus and we recommend sharpening regularly, at least every three months.
