Hinoki Toothbrush Holder

This toothbrush holder is carved from hinoki wood which grows in abundance in the forests of the Kochi prefecture. Hinoki has a slight citrus scent, and its many other natural qualities lend themselves to this fresh character. After drying during manufacturing, Hinoki is naturally rot-resistant, anti-microbial and balances its own moisture levels to make it durable and long-lasting in humid household spaces such as bathrooms. As a result, these wooden bathroom products tend to stay cleaner than their ceramic counterparts, as well as being an attractive addition to a space.

Care instructions: Rinse well every so often, wipe down with a dry cloth and allow the holder to air dry completely. Although hinoki is a durable wood, it will eventually develop marks from use. Rubbing a little diluted vinegar or lemon juice into the wood, rinsing and allowing to air dry can help reduce these.
