Hemp Kitchen Cloth

This hemp kitchen cloth is ideal for drying dishes and cookware. It is made of 14-count hemp thread woven at a high density on a traditional shuttle loom, resulting in a fluffy, thick, and highly absorbent cloth. It features a hanging loop so it can be conveniently hung on a hook or kitchen cabinet knob.

It is made in the Koto region of Shiga prefecture, where the clear spring water and warm climate have reliably supported hemp textile production since the Muromachi period (1336-1573).

Available in six colors: Green, blue, red, yellow, grey, and white (without stripe).

Care instructions:
This cloth comes in a raw, unwashed state and will be stiff to the touch. Wash it in hot water and hang dry before use to soften the cloth. Repeated washes and use over time will soften it further, increasing flexibility and reducing pilling.
