Couto Toothpaste

Made in Portugal, this minty toothpaste is formulated to promote gum health and is fluoride-free. Couto toothpaste was first developed in 1932 by a pharmacist named Alberto Ferreira Couto. This medicinal toothpaste played an important role in changing oral hygiene habits in Portugal. The toothpaste was registered in Oporto in 1932 and was an immediate success. Since its inception, 'Couto Paste' has become synonymous with toothpaste in Portugal. The Couto toothpaste is still produced by using its semi-artisanal methods from back in the day.
