Manufactured by the same master craftsmen as our German knives, this range of flatware is made with the same meticulous attention to detail. They have been making high quality kitchen and tableware in the same way since 1872, refining their craft and bringing it to the knives, spoons and forks available today. Each peice is beautifully finished and there are a wide variety of heritage woods used for the handles, ranging from blushed cherry and plum, to light iced beech and dark walnut.
Item details: The long tines on the forks are sharpened in the round to give a stronger purchase while cutting with the knife. As a result, these well-balanced tools almost give the experience of using a carving set in miniature. The metal work is hand-forged using proprietary stainless steel (chromium, molybdenum, vanadium) which is harder and more durable than the average European stainless steel. The walnut handle is fastened to the fork with brass rivets. Walnut is highly prized by woodworkers for its dense woodgrain and deep brown color. The darkest colors occur in the trees heartwood, and it has a natural shock resistance meaning it is less likely to crack if dropped or knocked. Over time natural walnut will develop a richer, darker color and shiny patina.
Measurements :L: 8"
Care instructions: Avoid leaving to soak to prevent discolouring or cracking the wooden handle. We recommend treating the metal with a food-grade knife oil on a semi-regular basis.
