Riess, an Austrian company that manufactures these enamelware has a rich tradition with its roots dating back to the year 1550. Today, Julian Riess, Friedrich Riess and Susanne Riess, the ninth generation of the family, are at the helm of the company.

Enamelware is not only the first choice for anyone with a nickel allergy, but also the greenest way of cooking. Exclusively natural minerals, such as iron, quartz, clay, feldspar, borax, soda and potash as well as very small amounts of metal oxides are used in its manufacture. There are no artificial elements, meaning that porcelain enamel is 100% recyclable as scrap metal.
